Green Machine V2 will support mapping the GPIO pins on the Raspberry Pi to devices that can provide input or be controlled by the client. Since Green Machine aims to support farming via hydroponics there are several sensor and actuator types we’d aim to support:

- Humidity sensors
- Temperature sensors
- Light sensors
- Flow Sensors
- Water level sensors
- Relay switches

While it isn’t possible to support everything out of the box we’d like to make it easy to integrate with Green Machine. Since the GPIO pins on the Pi are digital only we can allow certain configuration options that might make it possible to extend to a large number of sensors.
